ABOUT RACSA MEAN SOUN
I come from a traditional Cambodian family, although I see myself as more Americanized than they are, I still follow the respects of my culture. As a child, I always liked art and drawing, it wasn’t until I got to Durfee High School where we had to choose a careers class that I fell in love with Graphic Design. Since then I pursued the Graphic Design World and went to Bristol Community College. Four years later, I graduated from BCC with my Associates in Graphic Design and a Certificate in Web Design. And as of May 2019, I hhave graduated from UMass Dartmouth with a Bachelor's in Graphic Design.
My greatest strengths are in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. I enjoy strategic branding and development as well as understanding clients’ needs. I also enjoy experimenting with content and creating a visually pleasing layout design. My favorite typeface is Univers because it is closely related to Helvetica but what I really like is Univers’ type family especially ULTRA LIGHT CONDENSED which I use fairly often in my designs.
